In this episode, Wilkin takes us to Bethlehem where Jesus was born. The coming of Jesus is God’s invasion into the world. A rescue operation in the silent night. On Christmas night, God asserts his property rights. The flag of God’s Kingdom is planned on earth. A world of lies and violence comes to an end.

‘My beloved child!’
At the age of 30, Jesus leaves his paternal home in Nazareth and goes to the Jordan River to be baptised by John the Baptist. On the banks of the Jordan, Wilkin wonders why Jesus was baptised in the first place, then takes us to a unique place in the desert of Judea where a confrontation with the devil takes place.

‘Lech acharai, come follow Me!’
Jesus invites Peter and Andrew to follow in his footsteps.When Peter sees the great miracles Jesus does, he begins to doubt himself. How can he ever follow in Jesus’ footsteps? Jesus looks for Peter to follow him again. After which Jesus shows him and the other disciples who He really is in a very special way.

The unthinkable happens
For three years, the disciples walk in the footsteps of their Rabbi. But then the journey takes a turn. On the way to Jerusalem, Jesus prepares his disciples for his suffering and death in Jerusalem. For the disciples, this is an unthinkable scenario. When the unthinkable happens, Peter thinks he has to lend Jesus a hand. With dire consequences. Could it get any worse?

The wonder of Jesus' resurrection
Peter denied Jesus and cursed himself. He sank through the water for good. On the day of his resurrection, Jesus seeks out Peter to speak to him in private. Why does this meeting take place? And why does Peter start crying on the shore of the Sea of Galilee when Jesus calls him by his old name three times?
